The theme for the 2014 Annual Conference of the British Sociological Association (BSA) is: Changing Society. The conference will take place at the University of Leeds (UK) from 23-25 April 2014.

The aims of this conference are: to showcase the latest sociological research; to attract a concentration of international specialists in our major research fields; to provide a forum in which to discuss the teaching of sociology and the professional practice of being a sociologist; and to facilitate debate, networking and professional development opportunities.

The BSA Annual Conference is the year’s major networking event for Sociology academics and professionals and includes research papers from all areas of sociological study including interdisciplinary work. Over 800 papers were submitted for the 2013 conference. Delegates attending the BSA Annual Conference include social science academics, social researchers, policy analysts and postgraduates from around the globe. With a broad and varied programme including symposia, panels and special events the BSA Annual Conference continues to be the UK’s leading annual event for sociologists.
